My inspiration comes from intuition, as I believe my art creates itself, with me merely acting as a conduit. I’ve found that trying to create based on an idea or concept doesn’t work for me; instead, I let the process unfold naturally. My creativity offers a sense of rest and renewal, allowing my work to evolve organically. Watching my art emerge is an exciting and sometimes surprising experience. It’s simple yet complex—much like life itself.

I was born in Stockholm to a German mother and a Kenyan father, inheriting a unique blend of cultural and professional influences. My mother’s family included artists and musicians, while on my father’s side they were businessmen, lawyers, and politicians. As a mix of both worlds, I embrace the creativity and structure they represent.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken on roles as an entrepreneur, shopkeeper, furniture and interior designer, and bureaucrat. These roles often required analytical thinking, but I always incorporated creativity to my work, even as a bureaucrat to be able to find innovative solutions that benefitted people, communities, and Sweden, the country I was born and raised in. I am more or less a self-taught artist (except for studies in photografy) but I have been given the opportunity to both exhibit and sell my art and designs. My work as an interior designer, particularly with Plexiglas, achieved success, selling in renowned shops such as Designtorget, The Modern museum in Stockholm, Selfridges in London, and many more worldwide.

For the past 20 years, art has been a personal pastime while I worked as a bureaucrat, applying creativity to improve lives. Now, however, the circle is closing, and art is calling me yet again. I’m excited to fully dedicate myself to creating and sharing my artistic journey once
